Class Descriptions:
East Coast Swing 1 (Beginning/Intermediate): 6:30pm - 7:30pm
No experience required. As a matter of fact, no coordination required. James and Pauline are great teachers for the new dancer. You will be up and dancing full songs probably by the end of the second lesson. East Coast Swing is one of the easiest swing dances to learn and is a great launching pad to other swing dances. Come learn some East Coast Swing and get those feet moving!
East Coast Swing 2 (Intermediate): 7:30pm - 8:30pm
Intermediate East Coast experience required. Please know the basic (hands down) plus some variations. Also hopefully by now you've also attempted your newfound skills on the social dance floor. James and Pauline will use this class to add more variations to your ECS reportoire and also talk more about lead and follow as well
Lindy 1 (Beginning/Intermediate): 7:30pm - 8:30pm
No experience required. As a matter of fact, no coordination required. Evolution of one right foot and one left not required either. Laughing at our jokes is required but that's about it. We start from the very beginning and will have you up and dancing by the end of the first lesson. After that first lesson we spend the rest of the month teaching a wide variety of foundational material. This is great for beginners up to intermediate dancers and should be repeated until you are ready for the intermediate/advanced class. We minimize overlap of material from month to month as well. It's a great way to be active, have fun, and even learn fundamental Lindy Hop!
Lindy 2 (Intermediate/Advanced): 7:30pm - 8:30pm
Experience required. Come explore more topis and techniques to improve your all around Lindy Hop skills from two of the best. No partner required. We explore topics all around such as moves, technique, musicality, footwork, and more. Everything a growing Lindy Hopper needs!
